My Daughter's Painting Blog

This past week, my daughter decided she wanted to create a painting blog. She wanted to have a place to post pictures of her paintings. Then she had the idea of creating instructional videos, showing how to paint certain things, and then post them on her painting blog...painting lessons for you to watch!

You can go to her painting blog and watch her first painting lesson here. Be sure to subscribe to her blog to be notified as she posts more lessons. She has two more she is finishing up and will be posting them soon.

I love your daughter's idea to post her art on a blog. Now others can enjoy her creations. My kids also enjoy art and a creating a blog for them might be fun. I am not very blog savey and was wondering how you got the image of Sarah's art on the blog? Is it a photograph or is it scanned? Thanks. Beth

    Hi Beth,

Actually Sarah has done it all on her own...and I'm counting it towards her schoolwork too ;). She does scan her artwork and then saves them as JPG files. Then she just inserts them in her Blogger post. For the videos she uses our digital camera to record, uses some free software I found online to record the audio to go with the video, then uses another free software program I found online to mesh the audio and video together and create a video she can save in several different formats. She then uploads the videos to our Tangle account so that she can embed them in her blog posts.

So fun! Hope that answers your questions!

    Love, Sheri
